As a Tech Leader for our Backend team, you won’t just ship features - you’ll define how systems are designed, scaled, and evolved. You’ll lead engineers, make critical architecture decisions, and ensure our platform can handle complexity, scale, and speed - all at once.
The Hats You Will Wear
- Architect and build distributed, scalable systems from scratch
- Lead complex projects across services, teams, and dependencies
- Drive design reviews, code reviews, and system discussions
- Mentor engineers and raise the overall technical bar of the team
- Work closely with product to break down ambiguous problems into scalable solutions
- Optimize systems for performance, latency, and reliability
- Own production systems - monitoring, debugging, and incident resolution
- Influence long-term tech stack and architecture decisions
- Build for scale: millions of transactions, real-time processing, zero downtime expectations
The Perfect Fit
- 8 - 10 years of backend engineering experience in product companies
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java
- Proven experience designing distributed systems & microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of APIs, system design, data modeling, and concurrency
- Experience leading engineers or owning large technical charters
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and high ownership environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a bias for action
Your Edge Over The Rest
- Prior exposure of working in high-scale fintech / payments / card ecosystems, such as - issuer / credit / card stack players, payments infrastructure, payment platforms, lending tech, etc.
