The role

As an Engineering Manager at VTS, you’ll lead a high-performing engineering team and play a key role in scaling our platform for global growth.

You’ll balance people leadership with technical delivery, ensuring the platform performs reliably in production while continuing to evolve in line with customer, product and commercial goals.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop an engineering team, supporting recruitment, coaching and growth
• Drive delivery across the full lifecycle (build, test, deploy, support)
• Partner closely with Product, Delivery and Customer teams to align technology with business needs
• Provide leadership across Professional Services and Sustaining Engineering, ensuring strong support for live platform performance and customer outcomes
• Partner with Customer Operations to embed DevOps-led sustaining practices, improving reliability, responsiveness and issue resolution
• Embed continuous improvement across engineering practices, standards and ways of working
• Help shape the future of our engineering function, balancing delivery with scalability and innovation

This role plays a key part in ensuring the platform is not only built well, but continues to perform and evolve in a live customer environment.

About the platform

Diverge is a cloud-native SaaS platform for energy data ingestion, processing, insights and delivery.

Built entirely on AWS serverless technologies, it enables scalable, resilient and real-time data processing for mission-critical systems. It is deployed through infrastructure-as-code and automated release pipelines.

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for a people-first engineering leader who can build high-performing teams and deliver in a complex, evolving environment.

You’ll bring:

• Proven engineering leadership experience, including leading leaders
• Strong technical background (Java and/or .NET), and confidence jumping into the code when needed
• Experience with AWS serverless, SaaS and cloud-native architectures
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps and agile practices
• Experience working with live platforms, balancing delivery with operational reliability and support
• A pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach to problem-solving
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Curiosity and the ability to balance innovation with commercial outcomes
