Description

Purpose: Responsible for manufacturing and engineering processes consistently meet internal quality standards and customer requirements. Lead MRB and support CAB activities, drive cross-functional 8D problem-solving and spearhead data-driven and system improvement projects to enhance product and process quality. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues, support new production introductions, and maintain compliance with industry standards. This role also requires strong hands-on capability in CMM measurements and mechanical drawing interpretation to support inspection, FAI, and process control.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining Non-Conformities and Error Management processes and systems.
• Chair Material Review Board (MRB) & Corrective Action Board (CAB) to manage non-conforming materials disposition.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive robust corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform analysis on non-conforming quality incidents and internal errors and provide recommendations to meet internal and customer requirements and expectations.
• Support Customer Quality Engineering to investigate customer product complaints.
• Lead and perform manufacturing process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and control plans.
• Support and execute First Article Inspection (FA) readiness, including inspection planning, measurement strategy and documentation.
• Perform or oversee dimensional measurements using CMM machines (e.g. Zeiss, LK or equivalent) to validate product conformance.
• Review, interpret, and validate mechanical drawings, GD&T requirements and specifications to ensure inspection accuracy and manufacturability.
• Support set-up and continuous improvement of inspection processes, measurement systems, and inspection instructions.
• Drive NPI and PQP quality requirements in new products.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical or other relevant qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in MNC, preferred in the semiconductor/semiconductor equipment, electronics, or high-tech instrument industry.
• Good knowledge and practice in 8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QFD, 6-sigma methodology, PPAP, change management.
• Understanding of First Article Inspection requirements and expectations.
• Experienced in Quality Management System (ISO9001, IATF16949).
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams for problem solving.
• Understanding and experience in supplier quality management.
• Good in statistical knowledge and 6-sigma methodology.
• Certified Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
