Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Architect 
 
Hours:  40 hours plus after hours and weekends as required 
Department:  Technology Operations 
Reports to: Director of Technology Operations 
 
 
Summary: 
 
The Cybersecurity Architect for the ThinkGard team is responsible for establishing relationships with prospects by providing strategic security knowledge and expertise. The Cybersecurity Architect works with prospects to understand each client’s unique business environment and to develop tailored strategies to mitigate risk and improve security posture.  The purpose of this role is to drive growth of clients implementing ThinkGard’s cybersecurity solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 
  • Understand and follow “The VC3 Way”.  This is our set of standards and processes that produce a predictable result for the client. You must be aware of and maintain our standards. 
  • Tailor presentations to unique prospect needs, ensuring the ThinkGard offering meets the requirements. 
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally within ThinkGard to drive cybersecurity sales 
  • Proactively establish relationships with IT decision makers at prospective organizations to address security concerns and goals. 
  • Lead presentations at events or for clients and prospects as needed 
  • Conduct assessment of prospect needs in alignment with established cybersecurity frameworks and best practices. 
  • Translate Cybersecurity concepts into non-technical terms for prospects to clearly understand and translate to business concepts. 
  • Anticipate future security and compliance challenges based on prospects business goals and positioning to develop solutions that meet current and future needs. 
  • Spend greater than 50% of time engaged with clients. 
  • Review and explain product pricing and alignment with prospects security goals. 
  • Be a leader within the organization around current ThinkGard solutions, their alignment with cybersecurity risk management and threat reduction. 
  • Remain current with knowledge through industry insights, staying abreast of the threat landscape, mitigations, and evolving technologies. 
  • Collaborate with industry peers and continuously analyze and review new security technologies and practices as informed by industry best practice. 
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to sales teams and partners on security products and solutions. 
  • Maintain accurate and real time timesheets, record complete and accurate notes of troubleshooting and communication with clients 
  • Receive mentoring and feedback from peers and others. 
  • Where appropriate, escalate complicated issues to a more senior resource or other appropriate teams. 
  • Actively participate in Team Huddles, L10 Meetings, One on One Meetings, and any other Team Meetings. 
  • Attend monthly training & team meetings as required.

  • The applicant selected will be subject to criminal, credit, and department of motor vehicles background checks and must meet Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements post-employment. 
  • Less than 10% domestic and internal travel required.
