Senior Sales Engineer Manager -UK

The Senior Sales Engineer Manager for VAST Data in the UK will lead a team of sales engineers, driving technical sales strategies and ensuring the successful implementation of VAST Data solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of data storage technologies, a proven track record in sales engineering, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations. This position is critical in shaping the technical direction and providing thought leadership to both the team and the customers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of sales engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Develop and execute sales engineering strategies to support the sales team in achieving revenue targets.
• Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and tailor VAST Data solutions to meet their needs.
• Provide technical expertise during the sales process, including product demonstrations, presentations, and proof of concept.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence product development.
• Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance their technical knowledge and sales skills.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for VAST Data.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, with at least 3 years in a management position.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and driving sales initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data storage technologies and solutions.
• Positive energy, optimism and vision.
• Ability to perform in an unstructured environment.
• Understanding of classic unstructured data applications and next-generation analytics and web frameworks.
• Preparation and/or delivery of technical product and architecture presentations to customers and trainees.
• Knowledge of virtualization, high-performance networking and enterprise security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
