We launched in March, scaled revenue, and raised a Series A from a top-tier firm this past week. We’re a small team of 17 and growing. We're building out the founding team in-person in SF to scale what’s working.

Mission

The Founding Growth Manager will be a driving force behind building, running, and analyzing growth experiments aimed at rapidly scaling user acquisition, engagement, and retention. You'll play a critical role in optimizing our product funnels, refining customer onboarding, and improving overall growth metrics through a combination of technical experimentation, data analysis, and automation. You’ll also be a foundational part of how we build the culture at Vapi.

Outcomes

  1. Own and execute growth experiments

    1. Present a 20-page PDF with all the sources of growth, all the conversion of all the steps in the first 7 days

    2. Ruthlessly prioritize, design, and implement experiments that focus on optimizing conversion rates, user engagement, and retention in the first 14 days

    3. Ship a growth feature/experiment within the first 30 days (e.g., creating and testing onboarding flows to increase user activation, landing page A/B test, etc)

  2. Optimize Funnel Performance:

    1. Ship optimizations and refactors to improve customer acquisition and retention metrics

    2. Within the first 14 days, ship a pre-scoped conversion rate optimization (e.g., decreasing drop-off at key funnel points)

    3. Independently ship a significant experiment optimization within the first 30 days (e.g., automated user segmentation for personalized email campaigns)

  3. Use Data to Drive Decisions:

    1. Collect and analyze data from growth experiments, iterating quickly based on results

    2. Build dashboards and tools to track real-time performance of growth initiatives

    3. Present key insights and learnings from experiments to the founding team within the first 30 days

Competencies

  • Experience with tools like SQL, Python, and Typescript, with a focus on building and running growth experiments

  • Communication: You can clearly articulate hypotheses, results, and growth strategies to both technical and non-technical team members.

  • Data-Driven: You rely on data to inform decisions and quickly iterate based on insights from experiments.

  • Startup Ready: You have a reason to be here and can make sacrifices for something uncertain

  • Founder Juice: New ideas come from you, you build it yourself or annoy everyone until it’s done ;)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a growth developer, growth marketer, or similar role at a developer-focused startup with >1000 signups per week

  • Proficiency in coding and data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python, or other relevant technologies)

  • Experience building and automating growth experiments in fast-paced startup environments

  • A proven track record of improving key growth metrics through technical experimentation and optimization

  • Ability to balance creative growth ideas with analytical, data-driven decision-making
