We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the Design for Excellence (DFx) process for our cutting-edge automated vehicle inspection systems. You will work closely with the R&D team to translate their designs into robust and manufacturable products.


A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • DFx Analysis: Conduct thorough DFx analysis, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Test (DFT), and Design for Reliability (DFR).
  • Schematic Review: Review electrical schematics for manufacturability, testability, and reliability.
  • PCB Layout Review: Review PCB layouts for manufacturability, signal integrity, and thermal performance.
  • Component Selection: Assist in the selection of suitable electronic components considering factors like availability, cost, reliability, and environmental robustness.
  • Test Equipment Development: Collaborate with the test engineering team to develop and implement test fixtures and procedures for production testing.
  • Failure Analysis: Investigate and analyze field failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all design decisions, test results, and DFx activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve product quality, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in electronics design and manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on DFx principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic circuit design principles, including analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD) and schematic capture software.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies (e.g., SMT, through-hole).
  • Experience with test equipment and procedures for electronic hardware.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with optical systems or image processing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive or industrial equipment.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or other quality improvement methodologies.
