ustwo is seeking an experienced freelance Senior Android Engineer with a deep focus on Kotlin and Compose to join our Malmö-based team. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary group on an exciting, high-profile project for a leading company in the wearable tech industry. This role involves not just coding but also shaping best practices, architecting solutions, and driving technical documentation.
As a senior developer, you’ll also engage with client stakeholders, leading demos, providing strategic insight, and showing how our tech solutions meet broader business objectives.
Project
This project is looking to start at the end of October until the end of January initially with the view to extend.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience writing clean, maintainable code on agile teamsAt least 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Kotlin and Android
- Expertise in Android SDK, across various Android versions and screen sizes
- Advanced knowledge of Compose Android—UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Deep proficiency in Kotlin, Java, with a passion for code quality and craftsmanship
- Experience in Google Wear OS developmentFamiliarity with design patterns, frameworks, and libraries for Android
- Proven experience in test-driven development and automated testing
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
