Position Summary

The Senior Director of Product for Finance Technology and Digital Workplace is a senior executive leadership role responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes across three connected domains: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and the Digital Workplace. This leader owns the what and the why, partnering with a Senior Director of Engineering who owns the how, to translate US LBM's business objectives into software that ships and creates measurable value.

You will lead a team of Sr. Product Managers and their product teams across finance technology and the digital employee experience, setting the vision for how these platforms serve more than 13,000 associates and the customers they support. You will be accountable for outcomes, not activity: faster cash flow, lower cost to serve, stronger spend control, and a modern, productive workplace.

This is an ownership role, not a coordination role. It sits at the center of US LBM's move to an AI-First operating model, co-owning use-case discovery and rapid prototyping with engineering to put AI to work across finance and the workplace. The right leader has built and led product organizations through meaningful transformation, knows what good looks like, and holds teams accountable without micromanaging them.

Scope: What This Role Owns

• Order-to-Cash: product strategy for billing and invoicing, credit, collections, cash application, and financial reconciliation, across platforms such as Billtrust, Bectran, and BlackLine.

• Procure-to-Pay: product strategy for purchasing, invoice automation, approvals, and accounts payable, across platforms such as Medius and Coupa.

• Digital Workplace: product strategy for the digital employee experience, spanning Microsoft 365 collaboration, Workday, intranet and internal communications (Simpplr), workflow automation (Power Automate), and identity and endpoint (Entra ID, Intune, Jamf).

• AI-First discovery: with engineering, own use-case discovery and rapid prototyping across finance and the workplace, turning ideas into proof-of-concepts that demonstrate business value.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Set and execute a multi-year product vision and roadmap across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and the Digital Workplace, aligned to US LBM's transformation.

• Prioritize the portfolio ruthlessly, balancing business value, risk, cost, and strategic fit, and making clear build vs. buy decisions.

• Define target outcomes and success metrics for each domain and hold the organization to them.

AI-First Discovery & Value Creation

• Partner with the Senior Director of Engineering to co-own use-case discovery and rapid prototyping, quickly proving out where AI and modern software create value.

• Champion an AI-First approach to product, using AI to accelerate research, decisions, and delivery.

• Build a repeatable pipeline from idea to prototype to production, and stop low-value ideas fast.

Delivery Partnership

• Operate as one leadership team with engineering; align roadmaps, capacity, and commitments so teams ship predictably.

• Ensure product commitments are visible, credible, and tied to business outcomes, not feature counts.

• Surface risks and dependencies early and drive resolution across organizational boundaries.

Stakeholder & Business Alignment

• Partner with senior finance, procurement, HR, and operations leaders to translate business strategy into product strategy.

• Communicate product vision, portfolio health, and outcomes to VP and C-level stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

• Represent the voice of the associate and the customer in every roadmap decision.

Talent & Organization

• Build, develop, and lead a team of Sr. Product Managers and product staff; own hiring, coaching, performance, and career development.

• Lead with a coaching model, developing managers who develop product managers.

• Own workforce and capacity planning across the domains.

Governance & Financial Stewardship

• Manage the product budget and vendor and licensing relationships across finance and workplace platforms with fiscal accountability.

• Participate actively in portfolio and architecture governance as a decision-maker.

• Apply rigor as a speed enabler: security, compliance, and standards that scale.

Qualifications

Required

• 10+ years of progressive experience in digital product management or product leadership in complex, matrixed organizations.

• 5+ years leading product managers and leading leaders, not just individual contributors.

• Proven experience owning product strategy for finance or enterprise back-office systems (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, ERP-adjacent) and/or digital workplace and employee experience platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to discover, prioritize, and deliver AI or data-driven product use cases in partnership with engineering.

• Strong executive communication skills, able to translate technical complexity into business value at the VP and C-suite level.

• Experience operating within structured governance frameworks and a matrixed enterprise environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, retail, or supply chain industries with ERP-adjacent systems.

• Experience scaling a product organization through significant growth or transformation.

• Hands-on familiarity with platforms such as Billtrust, Bectran, BlackLine, Medius, Coupa, Microsoft 365, and Workday, and with modern identity and endpoint tooling.

• M&A and systems-integration experience.

Travel Requirements

• 25% Travel.
