The Lead Analyst, Routing System supports the development and delivery of innovative transportation services solutions, deploying field and customer-focused processes and initiatives that maximize routing performance, enhances cross functional communication, and reduce cross-market variability.

This position is remote based which means the work can be done anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
One must travel to multiple sites as needed during scheduled deployment and support activities and reside close to an airport for up to 35% travel.

The Lead Analyst, Routing System supports the development and delivery of innovative transportation services solutions, deploying field and customer-focused processes and initiatives that maximize routing performance, enhances cross functional communication, and reduce cross-market variability.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Supports project-based work, using routing systems and technologies to model and analyze outcomes.
• Executes scenario-based modeling, directed by Routing Optimization Managers, Network Planning Managers and Project Leadership based on network design, customer attributes, market capacity and resources planning.
• Prepares and helps to design data products including modeling artifacts, KPI tracking exhibits, and project materials. Tasked with extracting, collating, and presenting data in proforma and custom formats from various systems.
• Creates data sets and can present them for stakeholders using traditional presentation tools.
• Partners with Insights & Analytics team to execute modeling and scenario-based work, transition data for further analysis, trending, and measurement to bring results to business leaders.
• Support KPI attainment and improvements by contributing to and executing process improvement plans and Supply Chain Excellence plays designed to maximize performance, improve on-time delivery, and minimize costs and drive employee safety.
• Work closely with Project Owners and Routing Optimization Managers to determine priority of market support and utilize tools to drive improvement.
• Deliver data products to cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Routing, Strategy, Fleet & Transportation), to improve routing performance, including on-time delivery, tier, and contract management, inbound and outbound milage reductions.
• Maintain customer master data management and location attributes aligned with customer segmentation, tiering methodology and contract SLA requirements.
• Document the execution and performance of routing-related business processes, procedures, and workflows.
• Develop deployment playbook and readiness tasks, to be tested and executed ahead of system change overs or project deployments.
• Engage in centralized training of new processes and systems related to network design and routing application. Build and execute training documents, process workflows, and execute “train the trainer” routines for enterprise deployment activities.
• Support post deployment “Hyper Care” activities, measuring deployment effectiveness and validating critical success criteria for formal operational hand offs.
• Execute IT/System UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and End to End Testing activities, defect resolution and system change over activities.
• Partner with Sales deployment captains to build and support playbook and readiness tasks that align to the overall enterprise change.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Routing System Deployment, Routing Optimization Manager and/or Network Planning Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training:
• Must be able to travel up to 35% in various locations.

Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation and logistics, operations management, supply chain management, or other relevant experience. 
Related Experience/Requirements:
• 3+ years of routing software and system experience, with a focus on network optimization, system development, testing and implementation; experience working within a transportation environment highly valued; food industry experience a plus.
• Routing experience & field operations support.
• Experience with RoadNet, Descartes suite of tools (WinRoute, Route Planner), or similar routing/TMS systems highly preferred.
• Familiar with transportation and routing leading practices and related performance metrics.
• Strong communication skills.
• Competency identifying/establishing, implementing, and sharing operational best practices.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Access or other relational databases required; experience with SQL and data modeling preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
• Technical Acuity: Has demonstrated competence in the use of software systems to solve both routine and novel supply chain problems; demonstrated experience effectively using data environments and tools (Excel, relational databases, SQL, etc.); highly versatile adopter of new applications, able to quickly learn the use of technical tools and explain their value in the context of assigned tasks; a self-guided learner who possesses and pursues knowledge of systems, methods, and/or languages.
• Industry knowledge: Working knowledge of distribution operations, including routing and/or transportation, and of related federal, state, and local regulations – preferably in the foodservice or transportation industry.
• Project Management: Experience with project management, methodology and tools; able to support project implementations including scheduling, resources, scope, risks/issues, communication, and reporting.
• Openness to New Ideas: Demonstrates the ability and willingness to move outside of their comfort zone to explore new options/approaches.
• Adaptability: Comfortable navigating through complex and diverse situations; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Problem Solving Skills: Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills, including identifying and working with team members to avoid or remove roadblocks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Builds strong cross-functional relationships quickly to align on actions and resources required and to mutually accomplish company goals.
• Capacity Planning: Effectively leverages resources to meet anticipated deadlines and desired business outcomes.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $74,900.00 and $99,900.00. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $70,800.00 to $111,300.00. In California and Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $79,900.00 and $105,700.00. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.
