Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer – Microservices (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer – Microservices is responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. This role takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. In addition, this position works with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Specific duties include: (1) designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products based on Money movement platform architecture; (2) working in the complete life cycle of application development and participating in project planning sessions with product owners and project managers to analyze business IT Requirements and translating business requirements into working models; (3) working with both Relational and NoSQL databases and working with DevOps concepts, tools and continuous delivery pipelines; (4) analyzing the bigger picture, identifying and prioritizing with the aim to consider more than one domain within an analysis; (5) developing automated tests for functional, performance and security testing in Test driven development approach; (6) developing server-side components using Java and related APIs that meet the business requirement in an effective and efficient manner; and (7) designing, developing and maintaining API’s in Microservices architecture and redesigning of existing legacy applications to cloud, API and Microservices based on Money movement platform architecture
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Assurance, Computer Science, or Information Systems Technologies and 5 years related (progressive, postbaccalaureate) experience working with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) designing, developing and maintaining API’s in Microservices architecture and redesigning of existing legacy applications to cloud, API and Microservices based on Money movement platform architecture; (2) developing server-side components using Java and related APIs that meet the business requirement in an effective and efficient manner; (3) developing automated tests for functional, performance and security testing in Test driven development approach; (4) working with both Relational and NoSQL databases and working with DevOps concepts, tools and continuous delivery pipelines; and (5) working in the complete life cycle of application development and participating in project planning sessions with product owners and project managers to analyze business IT Requirements and translating business requirements into working models. All experience may have been gained concurrently.
This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $149,781 - $150,500.
