U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer – Backend Development (Multiple openings) in Irvine, CA.
The Senior Software Engineer – Backend Development (multiple openings) is responsible for the development of a programmable software solutions leveraging cutting edge technologies and open source solutions (open API integration, Test automation, etc.). This role works in an agile development environment interacting with other software engineers, business lines and system architects to provide technology strategies and solutions. Specific duties include: (1) Backend Development; (2) build and maintain backend test automation frameworks, assisting development teams to catch issues in development and testing phase before pushing to production; (3) work cross teams to understand testing requirements and create a comprehensive test plan and create automation and provide sign off and communicate it with stakeholders; (4) lead the development of testing frameworks which can process and validate massive amounts of Data; (5) lead the API driven testing experience; (6) lead customer engagement and drive and participate in validation of patches and releases; (7) work with the development team closely to add integration tests and contribute to improve Unit test code coverage; (8) instilling best practices for test suite automation and frameworks and documentation; (9) write Unix shell scripts to create utilities for packaging, deployment and testing support for third party vendor applications; (10) responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products; (11) write SQL scripts to debug application issues and write PLSQL scripts for strategizing customized database partitions and its cleanup based on retention needs; (12) configure, deploy and fine tune of applications on IBM WebSphere application server based on functional needs recommended by vendor; and (13) lead and support the design and implementation of the data management and data integration solutions. This position utilizes the following tools and technologies: Message Oriented Middleware (MOM using JMS, IBM MQ Series), IBM WebSphere Application server, Rabbit MQ, Service Oriented Architectures, Spring boot, Mybatis, IBM Integration Bus, Restful services, Spring Neo4j object graph mapping library, MuleSoft, SAML framework, Docker, Oracle, IBM DB2, Mongo DB, Neo4j (Graph DB), PostgreSQL, SQL server, Reference data management tools and Informatica ETL.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in Backend Development.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) leading and supporting the design and implementation of the data management and data integration solutions; (2) configuring, deploying and fine tuning of applications on IBM WebSphere application server based on functional needs recommended by vendor; (3) writing SQL scripts to debug application issues and write PLSQL scripts for strategizing customized database partitions and its cleanup based on retention needs; (4) writing Unix shell scripts to create utilities for packaging, deployment and testing support for third party vendor applications; and (5) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Message Oriented Middleware (MOM using JMS, IBM MQ Series), IBM WebSphere Application server, Rabbit MQ, Service Oriented Architectures, Spring boot, Mybatis, IBM Integration Bus, Restful services, Spring Neo4j object graph mapping library, MuleSoft, SAML framework, Docker, Oracle, IBM DB2, Mongo DB, Neo4j (Graph DB), PostgreSQL, SQL server, Reference data management tools and Informatica ETL.
