Job Description

We are seeking an experienced analyst to join the Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking (WCIB) analytics team within our Enterprise Analytics & Customer Experience (EACX) Department. This position is responsible for drawing solutions from multiple domains and weaponizing data.

This analyst will develop holistic insights by working with partners in marketing, sales, product lines, customer experience, call center, data engineering and various other analytical groups. The analyst will also partner closely with customer experience teams to incorporate customer feedback and satisfaction into data analytics to provide our WCIB partners a holistic view of the customer. The analyst will have a passion for generating impactful and actionable insights and opportunities from data. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, data visualization, data science and data engineering, descriptive statistics, combined with expertise in partnering with business partners as well as strong strategic analysis and effective communication. This candidate will be comfortable identifying and sourcing new data sources, developing automated pipelines, manipulating the data, analyzing and developing effective visualizations, extracting actionable and impactful insights and the ability to partner, communicate and strategize with the business by leveraging the insights from the data.

Your day to day:
You will spend your time advancing the development of metrics, reports and analysis into integrated dashboards that support field-based relationship managers and product leaders in the WCIB group.  Through the deep understanding of your users and the data, you will consult on statistical analysis performed by your Data Science peers as well as contribute to measuring the key business outcomes as new analytic products are tested with the relationship manager and leadership team in WCIB.  You get to work with various tools – both on-prem and cloud. This role will also play an active role with data engineers, Salesforce experts, and business line product owners in the business line ensuring the critical data is available and reliable in the proper platforms with clear SLAs.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Four to five years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in analytics, advanced analytics/statistics, predictive modeling
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Key deliverables:

  • Engage with WCIB stakeholders, challenge assumptions and build industry leading analytical solutions
  • Quickly learn complex B2B banking dynamics and design data-driven solutions that create competitive differentiation.
  • Enable delivery of advanced analytic solutions via modern BI tools for RM’s that allows them to find, track and discover opportunities.
  • Participate in the buildout of the analytics delivery, reporting and technology infrastructure required to support the delivery of insights and reporting.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure seamless integration and high-quality data availability for analysis. Collaborate with data engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and resolve data quality issues.
  • Research data assets from multiple disparate sources, applies various technologies find and move data assets for analysis, development of metrics, reports, and statistics.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure dashboards and reports are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
  • Explore statistical analysis that could be applied to the data; Performing descriptive statistics, exploring datasets, building visualizations iteratively to understand the data
  • Identify and lead the remediation of key data quality issues impacting our ability to deliver
  • Documenting calculations, code, and adhering to data management principles
  • Validating and testing data assets of others in the form of peer review
  • Play an active role with IT engineers to ensure critical data is available, with quality in the proper platforms with clear SLAs.  
  • Communicate complex data findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling presentations and reports.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine analytical approaches to stay aligned with evolving market conditions and business goals.

Location Expectations:
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00 - $120,120.00
