Data Analyst at the Danish Twin Registry and the Danish Aging Research Center
Location: Odense M, Denmark
A position as data analyst – for example a biostatistician or data scientist with strong competencies in health data or an epidemiologist with strong quantitative skills – is open at the Research Unit for Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Biodemography, Faculty of Health Sciences, at the University of Southern Denmark. The position is a 2-year full-time position and starts August 1st, 2026, or later.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be working with data‑driven analyses in epidemiological projects in the multidisciplinary team at the Danish Twin Registry and the Danish Aging Research Center. The team comprises epidemiologists, geneticists, clinicians, mathematicians, biostatisticians, and database managers. The work will include
- Structuring and quality assurance of large health-related datasets
- Developing scripts and analysis workflows, including ensuring transparency in the process
- Statistical analyses of epidemiological data
- Contributing to scientific articles and presentations
Qualifications
- Ph.D./Master’s degree in Health Data Science, biostatistics, epidemiology, or equivalent
- Experience with analyzing large health data sets
- Knowledge of STATA, SPSS, R and/or preferably Python
- Experience with data management and script‑based analysis
- Knowledge of clinical health practice is considered an advantage
- Fluent English language skills
- A strong team player
About the Research Unit for Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Biodemography
The position is based in the Research Unit for Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Biodemography, where we study human development, diseases, and aging and the link between them. We are engaged in cross-disciplinary research that combines methods from epidemiology, genetics, statistics, bioinformatics and demography. The Unit is home to the Danish Twin Registry and the Danish Aging Research Center and the position is anchored in both of these research environments.

Salary and terms of employment
Your place of work will be at the Research Unit for Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Biodemography, Campusvej 55, DK-5230 Odense M, Denmark.
Employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
Living and working in Denmark
