The USC Center for Sustainable Solutions is seeking a Program Manager to provide high-level administrative support to the co-directors. This is a full-time, three year fixed term position (renewable) with a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 2 days per week on the University Park Campus, Los Angeles, CA).

The USC Center for Sustainable Solutions (CSS) harnesses the research, teaching, and interdisciplinary expertise of USC faculty, staff, and students to develop and advance solutions that enhance quality of life, foster sustainable prosperity, and build resilience in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and other megaregions around the world. Through research, education, and partnerships with government, business, and communities, the Center translates knowledge into action while working with schools to prepare the next generation of leaders and professionals to create a more sustainable future.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Assist with development of a new strategy for the CSS

  • Organize and manage CSS events with internal and external stakeholders and audiences.

  • Recruit and supervise student workers

  • Organize and facilitate research and curricular workshops on sustainability for USC faculty, staff and students

  • Assist with the budget and management of the CSS resources

  • Coordinate with school and USC advancement staff on fundraising opportunities

  • Coordinate with school research staff on pre- and post-award proposal and grant support

  • Conduct evaluation of the CSS programs and activities

  • Work with marketing and communication teams in schools and USC to promote the CSS activities and priorities in written materials, social media and web pages

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree

Master's degree preferred

Minimum Experience

3 years of relevant experience

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position.

The annual base salary range for this position is $109,264 - $127,001. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position expected to work onsite 2 days per week on the USC University Park Campus, Los Angeles, CA.

Fixed Term

This is a three year fixed term position (renewable)

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 3 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related professional and supervisory experience in area of program specialization
