About This Opportunity
The Associate Director, Infrastructure Performance Optimisation plays a pivotal role in shaping how the University plans, measures and continuously improves the performance of its physical environment. Leading a coordinated, data‑driven approach across the Property and Facilities Division, this role drives operational excellence, sustainability and value for money outcomes across a complex and asset‑intensive portfolio.
Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure and Sustainability, you will provide strategic leadership across electricity and utilities management, environmental performance and the Technical Stakeholder Framework. Working in a highly collaborative and purpose‑driven environment, you will influence senior stakeholders, lead specialist teams and embed performance frameworks that support the University’s teaching, research and engagement ambitions.

About You
The ideal candidate will be strategic and analytical leader with significant experience optimising performance in large, complex organisations. You bring deep capability in performance frameworks, governance, analytics and continuous improvement, coupled with hands‑on experience managing major operational budgets such as electricity, utilities or comparable portfolios.
Your background includes leading energy, water or sustainability initiatives in asset‑intensive environments, building high‑performing teams and influencing across diverse technical and operational stakeholders. You are known for your inclusive leadership style, professional integrity and ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that deliver measurable outcomes.
