Summary:

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience that provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and be part of our company. Our college interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire summer. Through the internship program, our interns can attend development workshops that are focused on key business concepts. Interns may work within the skills-based tracks of Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non-technical and/or technical based degree programs.

• This is a paid 10-week summer internship from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).
• Interns may reside in either a technical or non-technical area.
• Development workshops are provided to help with the transition from school to the corporate environment.
• Housing is not provided as part of our program.

Essential Accountabilities:

• Specific duties will vary by assignment; specific divisional callouts are listed below.
• 'The Data Governance & AI Governance Intern will support enterprise governance initiatives by assisting with program operations, data analysis, reporting, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement activities. The intern will work alongside the governance team to help improve visibility, accountability, and effectiveness across governance programs while gaining exposure to data management, risk management, analytics, and emerging AI governance practices.
• Works with a mentor and supports key strategic projects.
• Completes work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
• Performs a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks that will cover a broad range of business-related projects.
• Creates and delivers presentations at completion of internship.
• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
• Maintain confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with the company policies.
• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Desired Majors/Degree Programs Include: Business & Management (i.e. Finance, Actuarial, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, etc.); Computing Sciences & Information Technology (i.e. Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, etc.); Mathematics & Data Science (i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, etc.) or similar program(s)
• Preferred (but not required) experience with: Ability to work with large data sets and organize information. Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting concepts. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to document processes and procedures clearly. Experience with process improvement methodologies. Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting/dashboard tools. Knowledge of data governance, data management, or AI governance concept. Familiarity with metadata, data quality, data lineage, or data catalogs. Project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail changing environment and deliver high-quality work product.
• Ability to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with peers.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter- departmental teams as needed.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.

Level I - Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00
