Data Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and build scalable, high-performance data frameworks for Unity's next-gen data platform, supporting advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning. What you'll be doing

• Build, scale, and maintain data pipelines to process billions of daily events into our Hadoop and RDBMS data warehouses.
• Write and tune complex Java, MapReduce, Pig and Hive jobs. Explore available technologies and design solutions to continuously improve our data quality, workflow reliability, scalability while reporting performance and capabilities.
• Work closely with the product team to identify the most important KPIs and track them.
• Maintain the data’s integrity, create intermediate tables and views, and maintain the team’s dashboards.
• Work with the product team to maintain a weekly reporting cadence of new features, programs, and campaigns.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree, or a foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience with Data Engineering.
• Also requires three (3) years of experience in ETL/ELT tools and developing data applications; Developing data applications using SQL and Python; Cloud technologies including at least one of AWS, GCP, or similar; Breaking down business requirements and translating to technical requirements with data-driven insights and reports; and GitHub and CI/CD Pipelines.
• In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in Data Engineering.
• Also requires one (1) year of experience in ETL/ELT tools and developing data applications; Developing data applications using SQL and Python; Cloud technologies including at least one of AWS, GCP, or similar; Breaking down business requirements and translating to technical requirements with data-driven insights and reports; and GitHub and CI/CD Pipelines.
