Lead Database Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a experienced Lead Database Administrator/Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge SaaS technologies and impactful projects that are used by enterprises and users worldwide. You will drive technical strategy, lead large-scale projects, and mentor engineers across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Guide L1 and L2 DBAs in analysis and troubleshooting
• Develop alerting and monitoring solutions (using DMVs, Perfmon, Profiler and other tools)Drive the technical strategy and vision for major projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues for SQL 2012-2022 servers, SSIS, reporting, ETL, and data warehouse-related issues.
• Review problematic code and suggest options for improvement
• Cross collaboration across team resolving infrastructure bottleneck and database issues.
• Implement and maintain clustering, log shipping, Always On, and replication solutions.
•  Develop team policies, procedures, and techniques. Drive prioritization of technical debt, articulating the expected impact and outcomes.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance, Mentor junior engineers on taking ownership of the full lifecycle of MSSQL services support.
•  Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database systems. Continuously review and update existing best practices/SOPs.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in the on-call rotations and provide critical support for production systems.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Support production and other environments consisting of SQL 2012-2022, Windows Server 2014-2022.
• Installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of SQL Server 2012-2022.
• Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation (Mirroring, Replication, log shipping, MS Cluster).
• Strong knowledge of Transactional SQL, Stored Procedures, SQL Monitoring tools, and Performance monitoring.
• Experience in planning and implementing backup policies.
• Practical experience in managing internal and external MS SQL database security.
• Knowledge of hosting/SaaS environment and focusing on systems performance and high availability.
• Knowledge of server hardware systems and operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (Must on Any one) using Powershell, Python, Go, and Google Cloud Scripting.
• Familiarity with various database technologies, including SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), NoSQL (Cassandra, Astra), and SaaS DB instances (Cloud SQL, ASTRA) is an added advantage.
• Working experience on DPA, Grafana & Splunk


Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a SQL Server DBA or Similar roles
• Microsoft SQL Server Certification is a Must and preferable to have other Cloud certifications in AWS, GCP.
