Tá an Fhoireann Cibearshlándála freagrach as cibearoibríochtaí éifeachtúla ar fud na heagraíochta a chinntiú, as rialuithe agus cumas slándála a chur i bhfeidhm agus as monatóireacht a dhéanamh orthu, agus as tacú le gníomhaíochtaí deartha slándála, a chinntíonn go mbaintear amach agus go sásaítear na príomhchaighdeáin agus na príomhriachtanais tionscail, dhlíthiúla agus rialála. Tá príomhról ag an bhfoireann i dtaobh cleachtais slándála TF a leabú i measc phróisis, nósanna imeachta agus chultúr Uisce Éireann agus gníomhaíonn sí mar shaineolaí ábhair do Cheann TF, maidir le cúrsaí agus fadhbanna uile a bhaineann le slándáil TF ar fud an fhiontair. 

 

Agus é/í freagrach don Bhainisteoir Ailtireachta Slándála, tá an tAiltire Soláthair Slándála freagrach as a chinntiú go gcuirtear straitéis chibearshlándála Uisce Éireann i bhfeidhm go héifeachtach trí chreataí agus trí chaighdeáin iomchuí ailtireachta slándála. Tá an tAiltire Soláthair Slándála freagrach as slándáil TF a leabú mar chuid de phróisis oibre, nósanna imeachta, ailtireacht agus chultúr na cuideachta in Uisce Éireann. Sa bhreis air sin, beidh sé/sí freagrach as treoir a chur ar fáil don fhoireann TF/TO (teicneolaíocht oibríochtúil) níos leithne maidir le húsáid éifeachtach córas agus feidhmchlár teicneolaíochta. Taispeánfaidh an duine sa ról seo tuiscint láidir ar TF/TO, scileanna sármhaithe anailísithe agus coincheapúla mar aon leis an gcumas tionchar agus éifeacht pearsanta ard a thaispeáint d’fhonn caidrimh láidre agus iontaofa a fhorbairt agus a choimeád chun rath inbhuanaithe a sholáthar.

 

Príomhdhualgais agus Freagrachtaí:

• Freagrach as maoirseacht a dhéanamh ar chaighdeáin, ar bheartais agus ar nósanna imeachta a chur i bhfeidhm maidir le slándáil TF is iomchuí le riachtanais shlándála Uisce Éireann.

The Role: 

Uisce Éireann IT (UÉ IT) provides IT services and support to the wider Uisce Éireann business. 

 

The Cyber Security Team is responsible for ensuring efficient cyber operations across the organisation, monitoring and implementing security controls and capabilities, and supporting security design activities, ensuring alignment to leading industry, legal and regulatory standards and requirements. The team play a key role in embedding IT security practices across Uisce Éireann processes, procedures and culture and acts as subject matter expert for the Head of IT, on all IT security related matters and issues across the enterprise. 

 

Reporting to the Security Architecture Manager, the Security Delivery Architect is responsible for ensuring that the Uisce Éireann cyber strategy is implemented effectively via appropriate security architecture frameworks and standards. The Security Delivery Architect is responsible for embedding IT security as part of Uisce Éireann’s work processes, procedures, architecture, and company culture. Additionally, they will will also have responsibility for providing guidance to wider IT/OT team in relation to the effective use of technology systems and applications. This role will demonstrate strong understanding of IT/OT, excellent analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to demonstrate high personal impact and influence to build and maintain strong and trusted relationships to deliver sustainable success.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing the implementation of IT security standards, policies and procedures appropriate to the IT security needs of Uisce Éireann 

• Lead the process of defining the security design of all IT systems, including high level and detailed design planning and / or reviews in line with security standards to ensure compliance while aligning standards, frameworks and security design with overall business and technology strategy

• Provide subject matter expertise on the IT Security strategy for Uisce Éireann, engaging collaboratively with IT peers across Enterprise Architecture, Build & Delivery, Operations and Cyber teams.

• Plan security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks, wide area networks, virtual private networks, routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices, designs public key infrastructures, including use of certification authorities and digital signatures as well as hardware and software, adhering to Uisce Éireann and industry standards

• Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment, directing equipment and software installation and calibration, preparing preventive and reactive measures, creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys, providing technical support, and completing documentation

• Upgrades security systems by monitoring security environment, identifying security gaps, evaluating and implementing enhancements

• Perform security assessments across the portfolio of IT projects

• Manage project governance on security related aspects of the Portfolio

• Prepares system security reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data and trends

• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards 

• Provide oversight, guidance, and direction to security operations for security related matters

• Maintain awareness and understanding of applicable EU, state, and industry regulations and/or standards and aligning security architecture with them

• Offer expert guidance on the selection, design, implementation, and operation of new security related technologies

• Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats and design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge 

• Ensure business understanding of key IT security risks and their impact through effective communication, awareness raising and training initiatives

• Responsible for the development and presentation of security related documentation and security approaches and designs to senior management and IT colleagues

• Maintain a deep understanding of infrastructure IT security as well as a high level of expertise around enterprise products and technologies

• Provide continuity and consistency in all major IT security solution designs and decisions

• Maintain knowledge and deep expertise in the technology security relevant to Uisce Éireann

• Participation in Priority one Issue Resolution for all IT Security incidents 

• Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of business information

• Work closely with external resources / third party suppliers, as required

• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with each business area

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years performing a similar role in an organisation comparable to Uisce Éireann is desirable

• Relevant Security Certification advantageous (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA etc.)

• Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing

Environments is advantageous

• Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable 

•  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience

• Ability to develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally 

•  Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to others

• Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results

• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions

• Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements

• Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
