Software Engineer

This hybrid position requires two days per week in the office at the nearest hub.

About this role

We expect you to be comfortable with a combination of Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis/Elasticache, Datadog or closely related technologies. What you'll be doing

• Implementing services using your skills in Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL, GraphQL, or closely related technologies to meet our team's objectives.
• Software Development with a focus on Test Automation or Test Development.
• Developing tests for AI / LLM applications.
• Monitoring and maintaining a set of critical services in our infrastructure using Datadog.
• Applying analytical problem solving, cross-functional communication, and systems thinking to ensure smooth execution of product features.
• Optimizing code and processes to help your team achieve their goals.
• Generating value across multiple teams and applying basic concepts and procedures under guidance.
• Following general instructions on routine work from your manager, and being able to comprehend detailed instructions on new assignments or projects.

What you’ll have

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Fluency in English language
• Technical competence in Kotlin/Java,Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL, Javascript or closely related technologies.
• Experience in Software Development with a focus on Test Automation or Test Development.
• DynamoDB, Redis/Elasticache, Kubernetes, and Terraform knowledge are a big plus.
• Python, Django knowledge are a big plus.
• Familiarity with domain-driven design, test-driven development, and BDD.
• Working knowledge of analytical problem-solving, cross-functional communication, and systems thinking.
• Ability to break moderately complex problems and projects to deliverable milestones.
