Job Description:
Involves analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs and issues in support of a function, research initiative, program and / or organizational unit, or in research of new or changing systems and programs. Assists in policy and program planning, development, administration, management and implementation; interprets, monitors and analyzes information regarding policies and procedures and provides consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders.
Department Description:
The Department of Medicine (DOM) is the largest department in the School of Medicine (SOM), UCSF. The mission of the Department includes research, teaching, patient care, and public service. The Department has a decentralized organizational structure across four sites (Parnassus, SFGH, VAMC, and Mission Bay) and approximately 38 divisions. Authority and accountability for the Department rest with the Department Chair who heads the Parnassus site and directs the Vice Chairs/Chiefs at the SFGH and VAMC sites.
The UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine at Parnassus, founded in 1996, is widely considered one of the leading academic hospital medicine groups in the nation. We currently have more than 190 faculty and 30 staff members. The division’s Research Core comprises 7 full-time investigators and a Senior Statistical Scientist. Our vision is to promote excellence in individuals and collectively as a group. We take tremendous pride in providing high-quality, equitable, safe, efficient, cost-conscious, and patient-centered care across all our ten inpatient services.
