Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to work on an unannounced project.

As a Senior Gameplay Programmer within our team, you will help bring dynamic and engaging gameplay experiences to life, with a strong focus on destruction systems and interactive environments. You will work closely with programmers, designers, artists, and testers to design, implement, and evolve gameplay features using our in-house engine, Snowdrop. Throughout the full lifecycle of feature development, you will contribute both to what we create and how we create it, with a meaningful impact on technical quality and player experience.

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement, debug, and iterate on gameplay systems related to destruction and environmental interaction in collaboration with game designers
  • Develop features in a C++ multithreaded engine using modern programming techniques
  • Own the technical realization of complex gameplay features, from early prototypes to final implementation
  • Collaborate closely with physics-aligned systems and engine features to ensure destruction behaviors feel consistent, responsive, and believable
  • Optimize systems with strong performance awareness, including algorithms, memory usage, and bandwidth considerations
  • Support designers and artists by exposing robust, usable gameplay tools and data
  • Troubleshoot and resolve gameplay and system-level issues related to destructible content and systemic interactions
  • Document systems and workflows to share knowledge and enable team adoption
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to maintain high-quality, maintainable code

Qualifications

What you bring to the team

  • Strong experience programming in C++ within game development
  • Solid understanding of gameplay architecture and system-driven design
  • Interest in and practical knowledge of destruction systems, physics-adjacent gameplay, or systemic world interactions
  • Ability to work comfortably in a multithreaded, performance-critical environment
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
