Responsibilities
- Design and develop AC/DC Power Systems, including UPS and PDU hardware for enterprise products.
- Lead testing, validation, and troubleshooting at the system and component levels (e.g., batteries, inverters, and PCBAs).
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, DQA, Layout, and other engineering teams to define product requirements and resolve issues during development.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM), and support DOE planning, qualification, and production ramp-up.
- Ensure compliance with international electrical safety and environmental standards (e.g., UL, IEC, CE, RoHS).
- Provide technical documentation, design reviews, and electrical support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Own project timelines and drive technical decision-making to meet program goals.
- Analyze and improve power efficiency, battery integration, and thermal management for UPS/PDU systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in UPS/PDU, DC power systems, or OEM development.
- Proven experience designing UPS systems over 1kW, including single and 3-phase.
- Solid background in switching power design, battery systems (Lead-Acid, LiFePO4), and BMS technologies.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies and system-level verification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across engineering functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in power conversion technologies (AC/DC, DC/DC converters).
- Knowledge of solar energy systems, including PV modules, MPPT, and inverter design.
- Experience with energy storage, smart grid integration, and energy management systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as UL 1741, IEEE 1547, IEC 62040, EN 55032.
- Understanding of regulatory and environmental compliance (CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH).
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage safety testing and grid connection protocols.
