ROLE: Test Engineer

SALARY: 10-15% hike on current salary

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for Test Manager with 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing

* Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on

business requirements and user stories

* Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across

assigned consumer servicing systems

* Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and issues beyond scripted test

coverage

* Validate UI/UX behaviour across web and mobile interfaces of consumer-facing platforms

* Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by coordinating with business stakeholders and

tracking defect resolution

* Document and report defects clearly in defect tracking tools, working with developers to

reproduce and resolve issues

Automation Testing

* Develop, maintain, and extend automated test scripts and frameworks for regression and

smoke testing

* Identify and prioritise test cases suitable for automation to improve test coverage and

efficiency

* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery practices

* Monitor and analyse automated test results, investigating failures and maintaining test

suite stability

* Keep automation frameworks and test libraries up to date as systems evolve

Cross-System & Collaboration

* Work independently across multiple systems and projects as assigned, with the ability to

quickly onboard to new platforms

* Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand

requirements and define test scope

* Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

* Contribute to test environment setup, test data management, and release readiness

assessments

* Share knowledge and testing best practices with the wider team

Quality & Governance

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation throughout the project lifecycle

* Track and report test execution progress, coverage metrics, and quality status to project

stakeholders

* Ensure testing activities align with quality standards, governance requirements, and

compliance obligations

* Contribute to post-release reviews and identify areas for continuous quality

improvement

Requirements

Must Have

* Minimum 5 years of experience in a software testing or QA role

* Solid hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing

* Proficiency in writing test plans, test cases, and defect reports

* Experience with at least one automation framework or tool (e.g. Selenium, Playwright,

Cypress, Appium, RestAssured, or equivalent)

* Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI

* Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments

* Ability to work independently across different systems and projects with minimal

supervision

* Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills

* Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or

equivalent)

Preferred

* Financial services industry experience — banking or insurance sector an advantage

* Experience testing consumer-facing platforms such as digital servicing portals, CRM

systems, or contact centre solutions

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps,

GitHub Actions)

* Experience with performance or load testing tools (e.g. JMeter, k6, or equivalent)

* Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g. Python, JavaScript, or Java) to support

automation development

* Relevant certification: ISTQB Foundation or Advanced, or equivalent
