Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Director - Stakeholder and Communications to join our organization in Doha, Qatar. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex project initiatives while managing critical stakeholder relationships and driving organizational communication strategies. You will serve as the primary liaison between project teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and successful project delivery across all phases.

  • Direct and oversee end-to-end project execution, from planning and initiation through closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies that identify, analyze, and prioritize key stakeholders across all project levels
  • Create and execute communication plans that ensure consistent, clear, and timely information flow to all project participants and organizational leadership
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and concerns
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and project goals
  • Monitor project progress, analyze performance metrics, and communicate status updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership through comprehensive reports and presentations
  • Identify potential communication barriers and organizational risks, developing proactive strategies to address challenges before they impact project outcomes
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations, translating complex project information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
  • Manage change management initiatives and ensure stakeholder buy-in throughout project transitions and organizational shifts

Qualifications

  • Minimum 25 years of experience, out of which 5 years in the GCC preferably managing large infrastructure programs.
  • University degree from a relevant field preferably Engineering related.
  • Advanced communication skills both verbal and written in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to develop organizational communication strategies, policies in line with best practices.
  • Experienced in dealing with local authorities and/or utility service providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex project portfolios with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Candidate base in Qatar, or previously having work in Qatar will be highly desirable
