YOUR MISSION

The Electrical Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, testing and integrating electrical systems for complex space missions. The ideal candidate will bring innovative engineering solutions to the challenges presented by True Anomaly unique missions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all electrical systems engineering aspects, which involve conducting initial concept development, mission architecture design and analysis, trade studies, CONOPS definition, requirements decomposition and allocation, interface requirements definition, requirements verification and validation, supporting integration and test operations, and resolving anomalies 
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced solution for spacecraft systems  
  • Coordinates and communicates with spacecraft engineering teams to ensure system execution of mission objectives 
  • Develops the planning organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes  
  • Participates in software integration and test activities to ensure mission functionality prior to deployment into operations, and post-deployment support 
  • Perform radiation and reliability analyses to clearly communicate system risks and identify future design improvements 
  • Develop failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for critical electrical systems 
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, physical sciences, or computer science   
  • Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant aerospace industry experience, preferably with spacecraft electrical systems   
  • Advanced knowledge of spacecraft electrical systems 
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership and communications skills   
  • Demonstrated experience with systems engineering principles and techniques   
  • Demonstrated experience with power, and other system budgets   
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements analysis and flow-down   
  • Demonstrated experience with design verification and validation processes   

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated experience with subsystem level integration and test processes   
  • Demonstrated experience with satellite level integration and test processes   
  • Demonstrated experience with on-orbit operations 
  • Experience testing large quantities of Electronics, in-circuit testing 
  • Experience with analysis/mitigation of spacecraft charging 
  • Experience deploying systems in GEO 
  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance 

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $135,000-$155,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave 

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location: this role will be fully onsite at our GravityWorks factory in Centennial, CO  
  • Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory. 
  • Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
