Full-Stack Engineer

The Team 

TripleLift is seeking an experienced Software Engineer II to join our dynamic Velocity team full-time. As a fast-growing startup in the advertising technology sector, we tackle some of the most challenging problems in the industry. As a Velocity engineer, you will be pivotal in developing software that enhances the quality of ads and creative assets on our platform. You'll work on backend pipelines and technologies to automate processes and create UIs for managing creative assets and audits. Additionally, you'll oversee high-volume integrations with third-party APIs and services.

The Role

TripleLift is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team full time. We are a fast growing startup in the advertising technology sector, trying to tackle some of the most challenging problems facing the industry. As an exchange engineer, you will be responsible for improving our exchange that’s handling billions of ad requests a day and quickly growing, optimizing our real time bidding logic.

Responsibilities

• Own critical parts of a codebase central to TripleLift's value proposition. 
• Write maintainable and well-tested code executed **millions of times daily**, responding in **hundreds of milliseconds**
• Manage and actively monitor the health of our applications. 
• Research and implement cutting-edge technologies to improve the quality, performance, and scale of core features. 
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to push features to completion. 
• Work with product management and business stakeholders to explore product-line discovery opportunities. 
• Exemplify professionalism and adhere to TripleLift's coding standards and best practices. 
• Participate in the interview process for new team members.

What will you be doing

• Building web services, applications, APIs (GraphQL + RESTful), and user interfaces supporting the AdTech industry. 
• Designing and implementing database schemas. - Deploying and building containerized applications using Nomad/AWS. 
• Designing and building new front-end and back-end features and experiences for both internal and external stakeholders. 
• Building high-scale event-driven systems using Apache Kafka and other messaging/streaming protocols

Desired Skills and Technologies

• Proficiency in backend technologies such as PHP, Java, NodeJS, Java or similar. 
• Experience with JavaScript frontend technologies like ES6, React, Svelte, Vue.js, or similar. 
• Understanding of front end build process/tooling such as Vite, Webpack, Babel 
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and related frameworks: TailwindCSS, MUI, etc 
• Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL. 
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Nomad or Kubernetes. 
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS. 
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience as an individual contributor. 
• 2+ years of professional experience with backend technologies. 
• 2+ years of professional experience with frontend technologies.
