Software Specialist - Mobile Applications

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and optimize an end-to-end solution in collaboration with the product and technical teams.

• Drive requirements, high-level design, low-level design, platform decisions, system interfaces, and testing strategies.

• Evaluating business processes, anticipating needs, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing and implementing solutions

• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and procedures to guarantee the highest quality product platform

• Developing architectural blueprints for the development team to follow.

• Constantly review the code to ensure the quality of the design.

• Manage the quality of the work products and ensure that the work is completed according to the estimate.

• Manage the identification and mitigation of architectural and design-related risks.

• Must be willing to contribute and assist the team as needed with important deliverables and customer problems.

• Create a strong development team with members who are knowledgeable about technology and software engineering principles by providing ongoing training, mentoring, and coaching.

• Responsible for bringing innovation to the team. Bringing innovative and creative ways to develop and test out products.

• Works in an agile, fast paced  environment to deliver on commitments within the release cycle.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Expert in core Java, Kotlin and Android. Proficient in Android Design and Architecture

• Technically capable of leading and mentoring a team of developers to execute initiatives

• Breaking down technical requirements into engineering breakdowns

• Bring clarity for Jiras/tasks and drive clarity with stakeholders.

• Working with external stakeholders from the development team to solve dynamic problems during the development process

• Able to work with the product team to understand customer needs and communicate the context to the developers.

• Can communicate status to stakeholders of overall development work.

• Excellent at designing and implementing robust architectures for Android development

• Strong working experience in mobile frameworks (clean architecture, MVVM, etc.).

• Strong understanding of software architectures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

• Capacity to quickly assimilate and exploit novel ideas, business models, and technologies.

• Possess a growth mindset, high levels of self-motivation, and commitment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Should be a strong team player and should be willing to mentor team members.

• Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally, are essential.

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a reputable university.

• Must have 8+ years of experience in relevant fields at a top tier company, including 2+ years as a technical lead.
