Title: Lead Software Engineer

Job Purpose:

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be working with a strong team of motivated engineers with a focus on building and delivering REST APIs and backend integration. You will interact with product owners and architects and convert their ideas into software solutions. You will mentor other talented engineers and encourage innovation in the team. You will also guide the team on development best practices and set examples by using them in the solutions you build. This position requires in-depth knowledge of OOPS, Java, Python, C#, AWS/Azure cloud and RESTful frameworks. You should have experience with agile methodologies, and working experience building scalable backend systems and robust user interfaces. Good to have experience in React and TypeScript. 

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in the complete product development cycle starting from analysis, architecture, design, coding, unit integration, and system testing of software

• Understand System Architecture and provide valuable inputs to continuously improve

• Ability to deliver the agreed modules in time, work with junior team members

• Eager to learn and adapt to dynamically changing environment

• Design, develop, and maintain the software solution based on the high-level product description or requirement document

• Make a Software design at the module level that is highly reusable.

• Follow well-defined Design Patterns and practice SOLID principles

• Document work, software designs, code, and record and produce artifacts/reports.

• Participate in reviews of work done by peers and provide constructive feedback.

• Completely accountable for one’s own work. Estimate, plan, organize one’s own work and manage time efficiently.

• Responsible for deliveries within the required deadlines. Deliveries can be modules, documentation, customer releases, etc.,

• Plan, organize, and execute assignments with very little or moderate supervision.

• Be contemporary, by adopting technological and market evolutions.

• Ensure team motivation and morale.

• Other responsibilities as assigned by the management from time to time.

• Accountability for assignments, timely delivery, and meeting or exceeding quality requirements.

Skill Set

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in software product development and must have a working experience of about 2 to 4 years in relevant skillset areas.

• Strong hands-on programming experience required in Java, Python, C#, 

• Good knowledge of Web Security and authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID)

• Should have good experience in Unit Testing

• Experience with No SQL databases like DynamoDB or CosmosDB

• Solid knowledge of RESTful interfaces / Microservices concepts

• Proficiency in object-oriented / functional programming model

• Good knowledge of the Azure and AWS cloud platform

• Good exposure to Continuous integration tools, Cloud Deployments, and Scripting.

• Good understanding of software architectures, software algorithms and software engineering principles

• Experience in the tools required in a development lifecycle: build, unit testing, version control, task and defect management, Agile development approaches

• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations.

• Upbeat, Self-starter and Passionate to learn new technologies.

Good to have

• Knowledge of high-throughput / low-latency cloud native systems and their design 

• Hands on experience in Azure and AWS cloud services

• Experience in using tools like DataDog, NewRelic

• Experience in React UI, TypeScript
