Summary:
As an integral member of the Network Services team, the Network Technical Lead is a high impact role within IS department and will lead the Network team in technical support, network system design for continuous improvement as well as adopting new technologies to meet growing business needs. This role is responsible to ensure Logical and Physical Network diagrams are up to date for overall Network infrastructure as well as implemented applications network documents for daily support and operation.
Network Technical Lead works closely with team members to investigate, deploy and manage new technologies to strengthen and modernize the Network Services deployed at THP, as well as providing support to the manager for developing roadmap, architecture for the network infrastructure and ongoing quality improvement in all operation works.
The Network Technical Lead will serve as a senior technical advisor to Network & Telecommunication Manager, actively contribute to developing and maintaining the high-level design plans for the enterprise network, including strategic short-term and long-term roadmap planning and development of network infrastructure and integrated cross platform technologies.
Key Areas of Focus:
The primary accountabilities for the Network Technical Lead at Trillium HealthPartners include but not limited to the following:
To analyze, plan, design, and implement the organization’s Network infrastructure according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of systems availability and stability:
- Actively participate in the design of network logical and physical architecture to enable other business initiatives as well continuous improvement and development of current network infrastructure in support existing services and applications.
- Provide consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to IS colleagues (Systems Analysts, Infrastructure Admins, Database Analysts, Security Analysts), Facilities/Redevelopment colleagues, and 3rd party partnership in support of IT initiatives and enterprise projects.
- Continuously strengthen Network Security to ensure Network Service Availability, and integrity
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility and resiliency.
Specific Accountabilities/ Position Summary:
- Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans and how technical infrastructure can be an enabler of the plans.
- Actively participate in the development of long-term vision, strategy and roadmaps for network technology across the organization in conjunction with company objectives.
- Establish strategies for consolidation, centralization, and optimization to reduce downtime and costs while improving security and performance.
- Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing Network architecture, and technology portfolio including 3rd party relationships
- Substantially contribute to network capacity management, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery plan from Network Infrastructure perspective, including a lifecycle refresh plan.
- Contribute to the product and service management from vendor relationship perspective to ensure active/valid support eligibility for network hardware and software deployed in production
- Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology standards policy.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to increase team technical proficiency, strengthen technical support quality
- Provide technical escalation support as delegate to operation manager.
Knowledge & Experience
- Cisco ENCOR, CCNP, or CCIE certification in correspondent technology is preferred
- Extensive experience in the following technologies and protocols:
- Routing and switching
- VOIP
- Wireless
- Security
- Data Center
- AAA, RADIUS, TACACS, 802.1X
- Excellent knowledge and experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting the following products and services:
- Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Cisco Catalyst 9K series
- Cisco Aggregation Services Routers (ASR)
- Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (AireOS and Catalyst 9800)
- Cisco next generation firewalls: Firepower Threat Defence, ASA and Firewall Management Center (FMC)
- PaloAlto firewalls
- Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
- Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC)
- Cisco SD-Access
- Cisco Nexus 9K switches
- Good knowledge of various WAN circuits available in the region
