Dynamics of the Role:

Tech lead is a key member of the Standards & Innovation team, works along with the Platform Engineering teams, technical solutions and business teams to provide Architectural insights. Responsible for end to end ownership of Architecture, Impact Analysis and Resolution at various stages of the Platform development life cycle.

How You’ll Contribute: 

•    Design Architecture for the system/platform by understanding the current ecosystem if any, and the solution that need to be built
•    Own the technology stack and the technology roadmap across framework and products
•    Define technology strategy
•    Provide research inputs on new technology, drive Hackathons and POCs and share reference implementations for the Engineering teams
•    Contribute to technology blogs, white papers and articles
•    Design, Plan and conduct technical training programs.
•    Design review for framework, product/platform and implementation level design changes
•    Collaborate with the developers, business analysts and development managers in order to determine the software's technical direction, systems architecture, system design and implementation plan- and provide the direction to the team
•    Acts as advisor or coach to the team and mentor Tech Leads and Developers
•    Able to provide Just In time Solutions, troubleshoot the blockers and challenges faced by the teams
•    Able to distinguish self in the Architecture Community by providing Leadership insights and being able to stand out.
•    Ability to choose suitable Hardware and performance tuning mechanisms to the software
•    Ability to understand the nuances of different technologies, and be able to determine the usage of technology for different pieces of the Architecture framework.

What You’ll Bring:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of work and educational experiences that demonstrates experience designing and implementing data models for customer facing websites/applications
•    12-15 yrs’ experience in software development.
•    Should have prior experience on working as an architect for a product/platform or business unit
•    Java, J2EE, Web Services, Spring, strong micro services architecture background
•    Performance tuning, application deployment topologies, DR strategy, capacity planning
•    Hands on experience in Cloud Native development and experience in building solutions/platforms on any cloud provider -  AWS/GCP/Azure.
•    Hand on experience in designing, building and deploying REST,GRPC, GraphQL & CI CD pipelines
•    Strong in architecture design patterns, experience with secure interoperability standards and methods, architecture tools and processes.
•    Database design, SQL, NOSQL, Query Optimisation.
•    Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
•    Ability to create proof of concepts of new technologies and be able to talk through the pros and cons.
