What We'll Bring:

Job Description:
Responsible for driving forward the Architecture of TU systems, with particular attention to how they source, load, process, store, use, and retire data.
Architecture Strategy and Roadmaps: Responsible for developing a compelling roadmap of change for TU products outlining their evolution from current to future state.
Change Mobilization: Responsible for working with key business and technical stakeholders in order to drive forward changes that realize business and technical strategy. This will involve both high-level strategic thinking and more detailed technical and data analysis.
Change Execution: Responsible for documenting the output of architectural and data analysis appropriately for a variety of both business and technical stakeholders
Change Delivery: Responsible for working closely with technical engineering teams in order to ensure that the designs they have produced are implemented correctly.
Risk Management: Responsible for identifying and developing mitigation strategies for technical risks within their domain”

What You'll Bring:

Skills and Experience: Demonstrable experience of at least two of the following databse technologies. An understanding of all (at a high level). In order of preference: RDBMS (e.g. MS SQL Server, Oracle etc) Distributed databases (e.g. Hadoop) Streaming data / Llambda architectures (e.g. Kafka) Document databases (e.g. MongoDB, Azure Cosmos) Other database technologies (e.g. graph, table) Experience of working on multi-terabyte databases Experience of working on high-risk business critical systems requiring of high availability and disaster recovery features Experience of cloud platforms/architectures (e.g. Amazon, Azure, IaaS, PaaS etc) Experience of ETL Platforms e.g. Informatica, SSIS A broad awareness of security controls and technologies (e.g. Encryption at rest/in transit, PSM, Identity platforms) Beneficial: Experience of data warehousing data architectures (e.g. star/snowflake, time dimensions / temporal data modelling) Architectural Essential: Experience of Architectural modelling (e.g. UML, Archimate) Experience of creating high-level design documentation Experience of presenting high-level design to stakeholders with varying interests and levels of technical expertise Experience of designing/documenting database and/or API design detail (e.g. ERDs, API specifications, data types etc) Experience of designing/documenting process design (ETL process, e.g. sequence diagrams, swim lanes) Beneficial: Experience of modelling tools and/or contribution to a shared architectural repository (e.g. BizzDesign, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Avolution, or similar)
