The Role

We're hiring an AI/ML Engineer to join us in building and deploying machine learning systems that power our AI-driven platform. You'll work at the intersection of data science and engineering, turning cutting-edge AI capabilities into production-ready ML solutions. This role encompasses model development, ML infrastructure building, and ensuring AI capabilities are reliable, scalable, and seamlessly integrated into our products. You'll collaborate closely with data engineers, software developers, and product teams to implement models, build ML pipelines, and create systems that transform how enterprises operate. This is an in-person, in-office role in Bogotá, starting remotely while our office is being finalized. You’ll be one of the founding members of our Colombia engineering team, helping shape the culture and technical foundation of our Latin American hub.

What You'll Do

• Implement and optimize machine learning models for production use
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to model serving
• Develop APIs for model inference and integration with products
• Create feature stores and ML monitoring solutions
• Implement model versioning and experiment tracking systems
• Build automated training and deployment pipelines
• Monitor model performance and implement retraining workflows
• Optimize inference performance for latency and cost
• Architect ML systems for scale and reliability
• Partner with engineers to integrate ML capabilities into platform features

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of ML engineering or related experience (more for senior roles)
• Strong programming skills in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Experience deploying models to production environments
• Understanding of ML algorithms and when to apply them
• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases, Kubeflow)
• Proficiency with cloud platforms and containerization
• Software engineering best practices (version control, testing, CI/CD)
• Experience with distributed training and serving (for senior levels)
• Clear communicator who can work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Track record of building scalable ML systems (for senior levels)

Bonus Points

• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and transformer architectures
• Knowledge of vector databases and embeddings
• Experience with real-time ML systems
• Familiarity with our stack (TypeScript, NestJS, React)
• Published papers, patents, or open-source ML contributions
