Where is the work:

Job Summary：
Be part of a global engineering team that is creating next generation, industry leading commercial HVAC (Heating Ventilating & Air Conditioning) equipment & controls to deliver energy efficient and reliable solutions to minimize operating costs while reducing environmental impact to the world. This position will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and verification of HVAC equipment control strategies. The position may also be responsible for sustaining existing product and fixing issues raised from the fields.

Responsibilities: 

• Work with product management and application engineering to understand product requirements
• Develop control strategies and algorithms to meet product requirements
• Develop technical specifications to be used by the team for software development and verification
• Utilize effective communication techniques to help team members understand and implement the design strategy
• Controls testing support: test planning, lab testing support, data analysis
• Develop and execute hardware in loop testing (real time data analysis)

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related)
• Understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics is preferred
• Genuine passion and interest in new technology and control strategy development

• Strong academic achievement is preferred

Key Competencies:

• Classical control knowledge required (PID control, linear control, digital filtering)
• System modeling expertise required. (Proficiency with Matlab Simulink, and optionally Stateflow)
• Advanced control knowledge preferred (modern control theory, model predictive control, non-linear control, adaptive control, fuzzy logic)
• Computer skills Java, Python, C++, C with ability to learn new programming languages
• Data analysis including quality control and customer problem resolution.
• Good English reading, writing and speaking skill
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills.

• Capable of working effectively both independently or collaboratively within a team
• Self-driven
