ABOUT THE TEAM

To support Trade Republic’s mission, we - the Operations Tech team is at the forefront of keeping our growth scalable through the development of solutions and tools to increase productivity in operations. We are a mix of skills and cultures, having Data Scientists, Engineers of all specialties, and Product Managers, all working together with one goal: deliver efficient, personal customer experiences at scale!

Projects range from using machine learning techniques to simulate the future, creating testing capabilities on our models, defining and ensuring conventions and best practices or educating stakeholders on how to use our tech stack.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Take full ownership of projects from scoping to delivery and performance measurement of data products that are user centric & simple to use
• Design and implement new products/features to expand our platform capabilities for operations functions
• Apply your expertise to train Large Language Models and develop advanced AI solutions to automate key business processes
• Work cross functionally with product managers, data and software engineers, to identify opportunities for data-driven product improvements
• Work closely with the team to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions within existing infrastructure and platforms.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed AI systems, troubleshooting issues and optimising performance as needed.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI technologies and marketing trends, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Act as a subject matter expert on AI-related topics, offering guidance and training to team members as necessary. Regularly exchange knowledge with other data scientists in the company.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in designing and deploying data products leveraging  AI/ML for relevant business problems 
• Familiarity with OpenAI and fine tuning Large Language Models, such as GPT-3, GPT-4, llama 3 or similar models is a plus but not required. You will get extra credits for prompt engineering experience.
• Experience with Cloud (preferably AWS or GCP)
• Knowledge of SQL, git, DBT, MLFlow, Sagemaker, Kubeflow, Airflow
• Experience with data manipulation techniques (ETL, data preparation, data wrangling). Specific experience in text vectorization and word embeddings is a plus.
• Work with product managers and engineers to identify areas and use cases where machine learning adds significant value over traditional methods.
