Your territory
As part of our Software team, you will:
Develop innovative software solutions that have a real-world impact, helping millions of pets stay safe and connected around the globe
Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails, NoSQL databases, and AWS services
Work with cross-functional teams to meet business goals and project needs
Shape the overall architecture by working closely with senior team members and architects, ensuring robust design principles
Promote quality in every aspect of development by implementing best practices in coding, design, and testing
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of learning
Stay updated with new technologies and improve development processes
Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you’ll never hear the phrase “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”

Your profile
Key requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or related field
7+ Years of experience with Ruby on Rails & building scalable apps
Proficient in NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) & AWS services (ECS, EC2, Fargate)
Expert in RESTful APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker)
Strong knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills
Fluency in English
Valid Austrian work permit
