Summary

We are looking for a strong Network Security Engineer to join our team. This will be onsite 5 days a week at our San Jose office. 

Requirements

• Create and test new security features, and configure hardware and software systems
• Identify and address security gaps, and build safeguards to prevent future threats
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in cybersecurity technologies and protocols, including mTLS, TLS, and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Experience with security tools like WAFs, IDS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Experience with network security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Passion for Window Servers, Linux, Azure, and open source
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirement
• Ability to communicate complex security issues to non-technical staff
• Must have 3+ years of experience in network, web security or a related field
• Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Security Engineering or Cyber Engineering Certification, including Security+

The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
