Software Development Engineer in Test, Senior (TraceLink, Inc. – Wilmington, MA):

Job Duties: Responsible for helping to define and execute test strategies that ensure operational excellence of our high-volume, highly distributed supply chain applications.

Duties Include:

1. Provide Quality Assurance thought leadership throughout the product development process.
2. Operate in an agile environment to understand project readiness, influence testability, and ensure proper test development, overall system reliability, performance, and quality.
3. Work closely with SDETs, Architects, Developers and other technology experts in helping to define our test plans, test strategies and approaches for testing large scale enterprise systems.
4. Drive and improve test automation and test coverage, especially for high-volume, event-based areas.
5. Create or leverage open source tools that can simulate real-world transaction volumes involving potentially millions of transactions per day.
6. Devise performance tests, using common reporting methodologies, to make recommendations in application design and performance.

Position Requirements:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline and 4 years of experience in software engineering related occupation.

Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:

• 4 years of experience in Agile Software Development environment;
• 4 years of experience in creating and executing performance tests for high-volume, event-based systems, especially involving millions of transactions per day;
• 4 years of experience in non-functional testing types like load, scale, stress, reliability, and endurance tests;
• 4 years of experience in setup and management of test environments on cloud-based platforms, including AWS;
• 4 years of experience utilizing cloud-based monitoring and debugging applications including Kibana and Grafana;
• 4 years of experience utilizing automation tools/frameworks including TestNG, Junit, Karate, Jmeter, and Gatling;
• 4 years of experience utilizing build automation tools including Jenkins, Nexus, Maven and Ant; and
• 4 years of experience utilizing TestRail and Atlassian tolls including JIRA and Confluence.
