Software Development Engineer in Test II (TraceLink, Inc. – Wilmington, MA):

Job Duties: Responsible for building and executing both manual and automated tests for TraceLink's software products.

Duties include:

1. Execute tests on the TraceLink platform and application;
2. Extend and maintain automation frameworks;
3. Prepare and present clear reports on defect findings that allow developers to quickly and accurately reproduce problems and allow the Quality Engineering team to verify that fixes are complete;
4. Verify defect fixes;
5. Build tooling for automated testing of the TraceLink platform and application utilizing Java, Eclipse, Ant or Maven, Unix, and an automated unit test framework, such as TestNG;
6. Programmatically interface testing tools with the TraceLink platform and application;
7. Create testing tools that can be configured and used by non-developers and can simulate real-world transaction volumes involving potentially millions of transactions per day;
8. Participate in deployment and post deployment activities of the Tracelink platform and application;
9. Provide high-level analysis to apply appropriate technologies and architecture to solve conceptual problems; and
10. Work closely with engineers building the core TraceLink product to ensure that testability concerns are factored into the design of the product.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related discipline, plus 3 years of progressive post- baccalaureate experience in a software testing engineering role or software engineer role.

Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include the following:

• 3 years of experience performing Quality Engineering with experience writing and reviewing test plans, manual feature and regression testing against front-end and back-end systems;
• 3 years of experience utilizing quality assurance technologies that include test case management tools, defect tracking software, source control, integrated development environments and automation tools;
• 3 years of experience working in an Agile environment;
• 3 years of experience in test automation involving programmatic interaction with Front-end and Back-end systems;
• 3 years of experience utilizing Java, Eclipse, Maven, Unix and an automated unit test framework, such as TestNG;
• 3 years of experience developing tests against web-services and Web-based APIs;
• 3 years of experience developing and executing formal test plans, data sets, and test configurations for assigned feature areas;
• 3 years of experience testing web-based enterprise-class business applications.
