Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s TMNA Production Engineering (PE) Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies, competitiveness improvements and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint PE department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions and provide necessary support to ensure competitive daily operations.
What you’ll be doing
Support area project planning, equipment procurement, implementation and follow-up
Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.
Lead competitiveness improvement projects for local production shop
Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project
Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology (or similar), or 4+ of professional experience in Paint Manufacturing
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience in high volume manufacturing environment
Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors
Project Management experience, including schedule creation and KPI tracking
Added bonus if you have
AutoCAD and Catia experience including the ability to read, interpret and modify drawings
Experience writing equipment specifications
Experience with Ringi development and requisition preparation
Experience with PLC’s and Andon
