5041 Senior R&D Engineer
Summary
Working out of TAEC’s San Jose Storage Design Center, the selected applicant will work as a member of an R&D team, on Hard Disk Drive (HDD) related projects. The work environment is project and team based and involves developing leading edge storage technologies and products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, debug, and evaluate various aspects of HDD related projects.
- Take on assignments with some complexity.
- Collaborative with members inside and outside of a core project team.
- Produce quality embedded firmware, participate in peer design reviews and provide supporting design/evaluation documentation.
- Communicate effectively and work closely with other remote development teams.
- 5+ years of years of directly applicable experience.
- Strong fundamentals in relevant HDD technologies
- Good understanding of complex algorithms and system design.
- Proficient in C/C++ and MATLAB.
- Experience in embedded programming, HDD firmware and product development.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team environment.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, M.S or PhD preferred.
Salary Range: $99,400 - $135,000
