Job Description

Join us in shaping the future of recycling technology! We are now seeking a skilled and motivated Tech Lead to our digital team, which is responsible for building service tools for our Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs).

We have a fleet of 80000~ machines around the world, where we provide them with service tools from our development team in Norway. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing applications using cloud technologies and a passion for creating efficient and scalable solutions. Currently we run our solutions on Google Cloud platform (GCP).

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead the development and implementation of software solutions in the service area
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to best practices
  • Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and scope 
  • Break down complex deliverables into manageable tasks and delegate appropriately
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with technical product managers and product managers to ensure that solutions are shipped with good quality and that solutions are meeting end user requirements
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment 
  • Encourage continuous learning and professional development
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and across teams & departments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science or related field 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within software development 
  • Experience within the technology used by the team (Java, Kotlin, GCP products etc)
  • Experience within software architecture and design patterns
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
