Job Description

Reporting to the  Project Manager - Team Lead, the position will be responsible for delivering multiple, short program, quick turn-around projects. The key requirements are working with all relevant stakeholders and ensuring they are informed, engaged and have appropriate expectations throughout the course of the master project. 

The role will work within a Team of Project Managers and a Project Co-ordinator, but will take sole responsibility for the delivery of specific sites/projects, but with the agility to work collaboratively to achieve the overall requirements for the NSW PMO Team.  

This role is offered as a fixed term contract until December 2025. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake audits of sites to confirm buildability of the leads/opportunities identified from the Sales Team 
  • Compile site packs post-audit to assist the Sales Team in securing the lead, and to be utilised for the site installation 
  • Provide project management oversight for each site, from inception to delivery 
  • Drive the wider project team, building and maintaining effective working relationships with technical professionals, project team members and stakeholders, acting as a conduit between the project team and the day-to-day business 
  • Engage Contractors for the installation works, obtain quotes, finalise the Scope of Works and manage the construction program during the build including defect management. 
  • Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to all key stakeholders, both internal & external  
  • Build a strong relationship with key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Planning pathways or meeting criteria where exempt, or otherwise obtain planning and building approvals required 
  • Participate in budget development and viability assessments  
  • Report to external stakeholders, keeping them well informed and reassured 
  • Manage the cost, schedule, resourcing, subcontractor deliverables and technical performance of programs  
  • Obtaining site induction information required from contractors with a reduced impact on the program 
  • Supervise and coordinate work performed by external contractors to ensure they are working safely, efficiently and to a high standard  
  • Adopt a pragmatic approach and high-level project management skills to manage multiple projects at different milestones at any one time. 
  • Identify risks and issues and problem solve to maintain project programmes and accelerate programmes where required. 
  • Carry out all necessary administration, co-ordination and process functions in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, including implementing new processes where gaps are identified. 
  • Investigate alternative measures and/or make recommendations to resolve site constraints 
  • Manage time effectively between travel requirements and desktop activities 
  • Timely site close outs upon completion of installations including completion photos, as built documentation, defects and certifications. 

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in Building & Construction and/or Project Management 
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in a Project Management role 
  • A valid Australian driver’s license and access to a vehicle 
  • Experience with internal and external stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills conducive to building effective relationships 
  • Experience confidently managing a variety of trades 
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar PM tool desirable 
  • Experience with iAuditor/Safety Culture  desirable 
  • Experience with CAD or similar desirable
