Job Description

Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of software performance? Do you thrive on optimizing code for low latency and high throughput?

We're seeking a skilled AI Inference Engineer to join our MLOps team and help revolutionize material sorting technology. As part of this cross-functional team your main task will be in providing and maintaining stable inference solutions to our hardware portfolio. The position will be a corner stone for a closed AI loop and deep integration into business processes to deliver value for our customers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-performance C++ software for our sorting machines.
  • Support the development of a cross-platform inferencing engine for edge computing.
  • Optimize code for various GPU and embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into our sorting systems.
  • Implement efficient inter-process communication for distributed computing tasks.
  • Continuously improve system performance, focusing on low latency and high throughput.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards.

Qualifications

  • Master or diploma degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in C++ development.
  • Strong understanding of low-level system architecture and performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of AI model deployment techniques and current inference engines.
  • Proficiency in developing cross-platform applications.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern C++ development practices.
  • Knowledge of container ecosystems (e.g. Docker) is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, with at least basic proficiency in German.
