Responsibilities
Optimize the searching quality to provide users the best search experience.
Combine understanding of product objectives and take full advantage of modern machine learning and information retrieval techniques to improve search quality and perception.
Build the core systems and algorithms development including query understanding, result ranking, query recommendation, and system reliability.
Build the core infrastructure of the search process.
Improve the infrastructure support of the search process.
Keep all system components up to date for performance and safety.
Collaborate with product managers and designers to ensure alignment with product goals and user experience.Qualifications
Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or any related STEM field, and 1 year of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or any related STEM field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
Developing software using Java, Go, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python;
Maintaining and debugging software;
Automating and managing the full release lifecycle, including code development, build, testing, validation, and deployment;
Building maintainable and testable codebases, including API design and unit testing;
Reporting bugs using bug tracking tools and working with developers to resolve those issues; and
Identifying, recording, resolving, and documenting software bugs, including tracking bugs and test metrics.

Type: Full time, 40 hours/week
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary Range: $172931-$250000 per year
