Team Introduction:
The TikTok product team aims to realize the development of ByteDance’s international video business and build and maintain industry-leading products. This includes Live, local services, user growth, user products, author products, search products, business analysis and other core business scenarios to support the rapid development of products on the global track. It also includes service architecture, basic technology and other directions to ensure that the business continues to serve users with high quality, efficiency and security. These core business scenarios and directions, create value for all parties in ByteDance ecology as well as making their daily life experience richer, more unique and more innovative.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below:
Monday, May 12
Monday, May 19
Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)
Monday, June 9
Monday, June 23

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to TikTok and its affiliates' jobs globally. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for mobile and web-based products and platforms.
- Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative tools, platforms, and/or products.
- Drive product development with teams of world-class engineers and designers, while maintaining team health.
- Work closely with various teams to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones.
- Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to improve engineer productivity and enhance user satisfaction.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. Identify and track key performance metrics.
- Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.Minimum Qualifications:
- Foundational understanding of product management or product design, demonstrated through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Experience analyzing data sets as part of academic projects, coursework, or internships, with the ability to draw insights and make data-informed recommendations.
- Experience gathering and translating requirements through academic group projects or internships, with the ability to contribute to the development of product solutions.
- Basic technical proficiency with analytical tools, methodologies, and design principles, gained through coursework, projects, or relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills demonstrated through presentations, group projects, or internships.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
- Experience going through a full product life-cycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution.
- Proven to be enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment in which the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
