Engineering Manager，TikTok Ads Monetization - USDS

USDS Tech and Product Ads team plays a vital role in supporting Tiktok's monetization businesses with a focus on data security, operational compliance and engineering development. The team consists of Software Engineers, SREs, Data engineers working across the ads spectrum from delivery to measurement and ML/Data. The team is primarily responsible for Siteup and driving feature development aligned with data compliance across Tiktok Ads monetization. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing a blend of SWE and SRE teams that work together to handle complex challenges with services at incredible scale while delivering revenue-critical service reliability and product engineering.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our site reliability engineering teams and algorithm teams across USDS Ads covering delivery, measurement, ML and data engineering. You'll have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale which are unique to TikTok. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team and provide technical leadership to key projects and empowering, growing the team.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers, Service Reliability Engineers and Data Engineers to support the roadmap for Tiktok Ads monetization through product/ML development and production excellence.
- Lead SRE teams through technical design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance service infrastructure, monitoring, and deployments.
- Lead SWE/ML teams through algorithm/system design, implementation, ML feature engineering to deliver on Tiktok's revenue-focussed ad products
- Manage day-to-day operations of system deployment, performance tuning and trouble shooting.
- Collaborate with external Ad engineering teams on technical direction and roadmap alignment.Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related areas.
- Software Engineering experience in one or more programming languages such as Go, C++, Python etc
- Relevant experience in managing and building engineering teams in product development and service reliability engineering
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for innovation
- Engineering/product experience in the ads business is highly preferred
