The Product Data Engineering team is the backbone of our data-driven decision-making process, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of many of TikTok’s businesses. We architect, manage, and optimize data pipelines that handle vast amounts of user data, ensuring data integrity, timely delivery, and strict compliance with all regulations. Our team employs sophisticated analytics and cutting-edge modeling techniques to distill complex data sets into actionable insights, fueling innovation towards the latest product-feature launches and driving strategic decision-making to promote user growth and enhance user experiences on our platforms.

As part of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to design and implement data strategies and solutions across multiple product domains, including User Growth, Account, Location Based Services, and Notifications. Our Data Engineers work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, where they can directly influence the direction of our products and contribute to the overall success of our company.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines to support business initiatives in the user growth domain
- Drive data warehouse design in accordance to long-term product goals
- Work closely with cross-functional analytics and engineering teams to define and build data metrics and dimensions to drive feature launches and growth strategies
- Establish solid design and best engineering practices from a big data perspectiveMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or related field.
- Experience with performing data analysis, data ingestion and data integration
- Experience in writing, analyzing and debugging SQL queries

Preferred Qualifications
- All Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink etc.)
- Experience with modern data warehousing and modelling concepts
