About the Department
Video & Edge is one of the world's leading video platforms that provides media storage, delivery, transcoding, and streaming services. We are building the next generation video processing platform and the largest live streaming network, which provides excellent experiences for billions of users around the world. Popular video products of TikTok and its affiliates are all empowered by our cutting-edge cloud technologies. About the Team
At TikTok, the Edge Computing Platform team manages millions of heterogeneous device resources distributed globally. Part of the Infrastructure department, we specialize in building advanced edge PaaS solutions, developing systems that orchestrate and schedule resources across our worldwide network. Our core focus includes large-scale edge orchestration, containerization, IoT integration, and Linux kernel development. We're pioneering FaaS capabilities and innovative network solutions that power our global infrastructure. Responsibilities
Business Direction:
Design and develop a hyper edge PaaS platform based on tens of millions of distributed heterogeneous device nodes, including resource orchestration and scheduling, containerization, IoT, Linux networks, FaaS, and general PaaS capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for business scenario abstraction, technical solution design and implementation on the platform side.
- Participate in various special technical research, forward-looking projects with new technology introduction.
- Promote the internationalization process of the PaaS platform and manage the company's global edge resources.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience.
- Solid programming skills, good coding style, good foundation in data structures and algorithms, and good problem-oriented engineering thinking.
- Positive and optimistic, strong sense of responsibility, serious and meticulous work attitude, good team communication and collaboration skills.
- Love programming, strong desire for knowledge, curiosity and enterprising spirit, able to timely focus on and learn the new technologies in the industry.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-concurrency services, microservice design and implementation, and system architecture design is preferred.
- Experience in k8s, docker, Linux networks, IoT, FaaS and other edge computing related R&D is preferred.
